River Rock Casino Reports $6 Million A Month in Revenue24 November 2003CALIFORNIA – As reported by the (California) Press Democrat: "Most of the gamblers who get out of their cars and pile off buses at River Rock Casino head for the bright, flashing rows of slot machines -- 1,600 of them in all -- where they spend about $2.3 million a day. "How much they get back, ranging in estimates from 85 percent to 95 percent, is unknown to gamblers because Sonoma County's first tribal casino, like most in California, won't discuss those dollars. "…The Alexander Valley casino reaped revenue of more than $6 million a month, clearing nearly $1.2 million a month after expenses, according to a financial report through June accompanying the casino's $200 million bond offering. By late next year, its gross gaming revenue could exceed $350 million annually. "Slot machines dominate the casino's revenue picture and the domed gaming hall on a hilltop off Highway 128. River Rock has only 16 tables for games such as blackjack and pai gow poker, which test a player's skill and knowledge of the game's odds.
