River levels cause casino construction delay

18 March 2011

BATON ROUGE, Louisiana -- Pinnacle Entertainment's Baton Rouge Casino Hotel, which was due to open in December 2011 has been delayed, according to a Construction Digital report.

The delay is being caused by the low level of the Mississippi River, which has made it impossible for Pinnacle to the hulls of the project from the shipyard, the report said.

The casino opening has been shifted to "sometime in the first quarter of 2012" the Construction Digital report quoted.
