IOWA – As reported by the Quad-City Times: "The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers issued a permit to allow Isle of Capri Casinos, Inc. to move the Rhythm City Casino riverboat 380 feet east upstream.

"The move allows the casino to develop a $43.1 million riverfront hotel and parking garage in downtown Davenport.

"A 10-story riverfront hotel will be built east of Brady Street and hold 181 rooms. It will be connected to a five-story, 513-space parking garage.

"…The project will be paid for by the Isle of Capri with a partnership with the Riverboat Development Authority, Ms. Donovan said. Property tax dollars will also be used to cover the riverboat move and infrastructure improvements, according to Ms. Donovan.
