Rhode Island: Table games vote sees one pass, one defeat7 November 2012RHODE ISLAND -- The outcome of yesterday's expanded gambling vote in Rhode Island came in marked by division, according to the Hartford Courant. Twin River slot parlor will see table games added, while Newport Grand will not, the report explained. 74.8 approval was reported for Twin River while Newport Grand was defeated by 53.8 percent of Newport voters, Hartford Courant reported. Each parlor was addressed with a seperate question on the ballot and needed to be approved in the specific community and statewide, the report explained. |
