Rhode Island Governor Vetoes Casino Bill

RHODE ISLAND – As reported by the Associated Press: "Governor Carcieri has vetoed a bill that would allow a vote on a possible casino in West Warwick. The Republican governor formally vetoed the measure at a ceremony this afternoon.

"The governor has been against the initiative all along, and had indicated he'd veto the measure. Lawmakers passed a bill anyway.

"They say they have enough votes to override the veto…"
