Revised Florida compact drafted3 October 2007FLORIDA -- As reported by the South Florida Sun Sentinel: "In the latest draft of a proposed gambling compact between the Seminole Tribe of Florida and Gov. Charlie Crist, released Tuesday by the state, tribal leaders offer to phase in the conversion to Las Vegas-style slots, which deliver higher returns to players and casino owners. "...The governor's office reiterated what Crist said Monday, that he thinks there could be an agreement within a month..." |
