Revenue up in Alberta7 March 2016ALBERTA, Canada -- Gaming revenue has risen overall in Alberta for the first half of the fiscal year, according to a Calgary Herald report. VLTs, however, came in much lower than expected, the report said. Low oil prices are challenging the province's oil-dependant economy, which likely explains why VLTs were $18 million below expectations, the Calgary Herald explained. During economic downturns punters are more inclined to play the lottery, the report noted. |
