Revenue Rises for Three Kansas City Casinos

KANSAS CITY, Missouri – As reported by the Kansas City Business Journal: "Three of the four Kansas City-area casinos reported higher revenue in April than last year, according to statistics the Missouri Gaming Commission released Monday.

"April revenue for the Kansas City market as a whole totaled $56.1 million, up 12 percent from $50.2 million last year.

"Ameristar Casino & Hotel Kansas City led area casinos in revenue for the seventh consecutive month, at $19.2 million, up 15 percent from $16.7 million last year.

"…Argosy Casino reported revenue of $12.2 million, up 59 percent from $7.7 million last year. Customers totaled 178,806, up 45 percent from 123,285 last year.

"Isle of Capri Casino posted revenue of $8.7 million, up 2 percent from $8.5 million last year. Customers totaled 177,513, up 7 percent from 165,758 last year.

"Harrah's North Kansas City Casino & Hotel posted revenue of $16 million, down 7 percent from $17.3 million last year. Customers totaled 255,674, down 1 percent from 258,230 last year."
