Retired Ford factory worker wins $1 million in one hand playing Three Card Poker21 May 2012LAS VEGAS -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- Las Vegas experienced its second winner of the Caesars Entertainment exclusive $1 million Three Card Poker 6 Card Bonus table game on Friday, May 11. Dennis Hart, a retired Ford factory worker, won the $1 million grand prize off of one hand. Hart gave each of his three fellow players a $500 chip and generously tipped his dealer $20,000. “We would like to congratulate Mr. Hart for winning the one-million dollar jackpot,” said Jeffrey Kowalchuk, Enterprise Vice President of Table Games for Caesars Entertainment Inc. “The popularity of Three Card Poker has skyrocketed in the last few years, and Caesars Entertainment resorts are proud to be the exclusive destinations for the one-million dollar six card bonus. Our goal is to offer fun and unique table games for our guests, and being able to offer a jackpot comparable to what you see in progressive slots is a perfect fit.” Hart was visiting from Palm Coast, Fla. on vacation, a trip he’s taken every year since 1967, with his wife, Margaret, and daughter, Heather. Late on Friday, May 11 Margaret received a phone call from across the casino floor – it was Dennis: “I won the big one!” Thinking her husband was mistaken, she asked her daughter if it was possible. Indeed, the Harts became instant millionaires. They have not yet decided what they will do with the winnings, but this is not the first time Hart has been lucky at a Caesars Entertainment resort. On Christmas Eve 2011 at Harrah’s Biloxi, Hart was playing 50 cent video poker and won $2,500 with a Royal Flush. It was the most Dennis had won to date and the family was ecstatic. The Hart family is loyal to Caesars Entertainment resorts due to its advantageous Total Reward players program. This trip they stayed at Flamingo Las Vegas where they caught the Donnie and Marie show. Hart is the second individual to win the $1 million jackpot in Las Vegas and now the fourth lucky $1 million winner Caesars Entertainment has paid out since the game debuted in Las Vegas last spring; two winners have taken home the $1 million prize in Atlantic City. |
