Restaurant Company Considers Casinos

HOUSTON, Texas – As reported by the Restaurant Business: "Landry's Restaurants is eyeing various acquisitions including casinos, CEO Tilman Fertitta said yesterday.

"The parent of the namesake restaurant chain, along with Joe's Crab Shack, Saltgrass Steak House, Rainforest Cafe, and other brands, is not through with stockpiling businesses.

"' will look at anything out there,'Fertitta told analysts. 'You can go and acquire a casino that produces, say, $17 million in EBITDA and it's the same as what it would cost to build 50 Joe's Crab Shacks.'…"
