Report Reveals Gambling Reforms Needed

AUSTRALIA – As reported by ABC News: ``There is new evidence which shows Victorians want gambling reforms including a reduction in the number of pokie machines.

``A Victorian Government commissioned report shows almost 90 per cent of those surveyed want harm minimisation measures, including a cut in pokie numbers.

``Victoria's Gambling Research Panel survey also highlights growing concern about the increase in problem gambling.

``Panel chairwoman and Deakin University associate professor Linda Hancock says 85 per cent of Victorians believe gambling is a serious social problem…"
