Report Could Delay Quebec Casino Plans

QUEBEC – As reported by the 940 News: "The Coulombe Report, comissioned by the province to evaluate the Peel Basin Casino project, could put the plans to move the casino on the backburner, according to a report in La Presse.

"Guy Coulombe, former head of Hydro Quebec, has reporteldy issued a long list of considereations that the province will need to evaluate before giving the casino project the green light.

"…This revision of the 1-billion dollar project apparently comes as a surprise. La Presse reports that only a few months ago, the government was expecting a document advising it to go ahead with the casino and recreational tourist attraction."
