Reno Casinos Show Growth13 June 2005RENO, Nevada – As reported by the Reno Gazette-Journal: "Reno casinos won more from gamblers in April compared with last year even without a major bowling tournament in town, making it the first month this year to show growth, according to a report released Thursday. "Reno casinos won $60.94 million from bettors that month, up 0.2 percent from the $60.8 million won in April 2004, according to the report from the Gaming Control Board. "…'Reno is looking up, definitely, even without the bowlers,' said George Buddy, general manager at the Nugget Casino downtown. 'We have enough tourists coming in from the Bay Area. We have a lot of tour busses coming in. Things have been great.'
