Regulators concerned about Prairie Meadows expansion vote9 March 2012POLK COUNTY, Iowa -- Two supervisors (out of five) who voted against allowing Prairie Meadows to borrow $11 million for its planned expansion have invoked the ire of state gambling regulators, Radio Iowa reported. Commissioner Jeff Lamberti expressed concern that the Polk County Board of Supervisors see the big picture and that these decisions impact the state, the report said. Prairie Meadows hopes to add several hundred slot machines to the new expansion for which permission must be secured, Radio Iowa reported. |
