Regis Philbin and Mohegan Sun sign deal17 September 2007UNCASVILLE, Connecticut -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- On the heels of Regis celebrating his 20th Anniversary of Live with Regis & Kelly, Regis Philbin and Mohegan Sun have just signed an exclusive deal for 2008 with future options. Appearing on television since the late 1950s, Philbin is often called "the hardest working man in show business" and holds the Guinness World Record for the most time spent in front of a television camera (nearly 16,000 hours). Best known for Live with Regis and Kelly, Who Wants to Be a Millionaire and for hosting the first season of America's Got Talent, Philbin is an American Icon and one of the greatest entertainers of our time. Now 76, Philbin had triple bypass surgery five months ago and says he's feeling fine; his health is a "minor consideration" when it comes to deciding his future.
