Rebound from Katrina continues for casinos5 April 2010GULFPORT, Mississippi -- Gulf Coast casinos are attracting interest from new developers as things begin to look up economically post Hurricane Katrina, the Sun Herald reported. Gulf coast casinos, such as Beau Rivage, are now flying customers in on charters, The Sun Herald said. It is difficult to obtain accurate statistics because numbers of patrons are now collected in a different way to pre Katrina times, so gambling commission figures do not necessarily reflect what the casinos are seeing, the Sun Herald report pointed out. |
