Reading racino proposal approved

READING, United Kingdom – As reported by Get Reading: "Reading will get a new 'racino' by 2008, planning bosses have agreed.

"At a meeting of Reading Borough Council's planning committee last night proposals for a racino – an American term for a casino and racing track – were approved subject to legal agreement.

"The development in South Reading will be the first of its kind in the UK and will include a brand new greyhound and speedway stadium on land alongside Island Road, formerly a trail bike park…"
