Racebook at Mississippi casinos proposed10 May 2007MISSISSIPPI -- As reported by the Mississippi Clarion Ledger: "House Gaming Committee Chairman Bobby Moak, D-Bogue Chitto, said he favors Mississippi casinos being able to accept bets on horse races from around the country. "House Bill 1544, which died in the Senate last session, would have allowed wagers on events such as the recent Kentucky Derby through racebook, Moak said. "Curt Folmer, general manager at Rainbow Hotel Casino in Vicksburg, said racebook would have allowed casino patrons to tie into paramutal betting at racetracks and view horse races by video monitors..." |
