Quick Timeline Expected for 11th Indiana Casino18 November 2003EVANSVILLE, Indiana – As reported by the Associated Press: ``The Indiana Gaming Commission plans to move as quickly as possible to name the company to operate an Orange County casino voters approved this month, the panel's director said. ``A decision on proposals by five groups to operate the casino could be made by early May, according to a tentative timeline announced at Friday's Indiana Gaming Commission meeting in Evansville. ``The applicant companies would submit their development proposals by late February. Commission staff would then take about 45 days to review the applications. ``Depending on the outcome of negotiations, regulators could ask the commission to select its top choice during a meeting tentatively set for the first Friday in May, Glenn Lawrence, the commission's executive director, said…" |
