Queenland adds tougher casino laws

QUEENSLAND, Australia -- As reported by the Australian Broadcasting Corporation: "The Queensland Government has introduced laws into Parliament increasing the penalties for casino operators who let minors enter their premises.

"The amendments include fines of $7,500 for allowing people under the age of 18 to enter a casino, and a new penalty of $15,000 for allowing them to gamble.

"Deputy Premier Anna Bligh told Parliament the Bill also makes various other amendments to gambling laws..."
