Quad-City casinos continue decline13 March 2007ILLINOIS – As reported by the Quad City Times: "The precipitous decline in revenue at Quad-Cities casinos continued in February, according to the latest reports from Iowa and Illinois gaming regulators. "Hardest hit was the Rhythm City Casino, the Isle of Capri-owned riverboat in Davenport. Adjusted gross revenue in February -- $4.75 million -- was down 24 percent from February 2006, when adjusted gross revenue was $6.31 million. The February, 2007 figure also is down 7 percent from January, 2007. "At the Isle of Capri in Bettendorf, February adjusted gross revenue was $6.55 million, down 18.7 percent from February 2006's $8.06 million. The February 2007 figure also is down from January 2007's $6.95 million. "The numbers were somewhat less grim at the Casino Rock Island, the smallest of the three Quad-Cities casinos. The February 2007 figure was $2.90 million, down 5.13 percent from February 2006's $3.06 million. The CRI February 2007 adjusted gross revenue was up slightly -- 1.1 percent -- from January 2007…" |
