Q Casino & Hotel in Iowa announces temporary closure

16 March 2020

(PRESS RELEASE) -- In light of the reported spread of COVID-19, Jesús Avilés, Q Casino & Hotel President and CEO, has determined that in the best interest of our team members, guests and surrounding community, Q Casino will temporarily close at 11:30pm on Monday, March 16, 2020. While there have been no reported cases of COVID-19 at our facility, we have elected to close for up to 30 days and will re-evaluate at that time. We have and will continue to monitor the recommendations from the US Centers for Disease Control (CDC), Iowa Public Health Department and State Government.

Consistent with our values, this decision was made with the mindset of the common good and general welfare for our team members, guests and community. In addition, we will be developing a compensation plan for team members who are impacted due to this temporary closure.

In light of this information, Q Casino has made the decision to postpone our upcoming entertainment at the Q Showroom through the end of March. These shows include BadFish on Friday, March 20, Electric Shock on Saturday, March 21, Breakfast Club on Friday, March 27, Sabbath on March 28, The Nielsen Trust on Tuesday, March 31 and Revival on Friday, April 3 and Saturday, April 4.

At this time, all Back Waters shows are still scheduled as planned.

New performance dates will be released at a later time for the Q Showroom series, and all previously purchased tickets will be honored on the new show date. If you are no longer able to attend the show, refunds are available by calling 563-585-3004. Please have your order number ready.
