Protesters Fight Against Pokie Hall

AUSTRALIA – As reported by the Advertiser: "Anti-Pokie protesters will make a last-ditch attempt tonight to prevent planning approval for a "pokies palace" at Morphett Vale.

"They will make final submissions to the Onkaparinga City Council Development Assessment Panel's hearing on plans to turn an old Sizzler restaurant site into a new poker machine venue.

"A preliminary report recommends approval for the move.

"If council agrees, the final decision on if the site goes ahead rests with Liquor and Gambling Commissioner Bill Pryor…"
