Proposed casino site contaminated20 April 2015SCHENECTADY, New York -- A proposed casino resort site along the Mohawk River is contaminated with petroleum and other toxic material, the Albany Times reported. The site is undergoing a major clean-up and can be remediated, as the situation is apparently not uncommon to former industrial-use sites, according to the report. The casino-resort's developer, Galesi Group, are investing $480 million overall into the project which will offer a casino, amenities and real estate, the Albany Times reported. |
