Problem Gambling Conference Comes to Vegas28 November 2000LAS VEGAS, Nevada -- Nov. 28, 2000 -- As reported by the Associated Press: "The National Center for Responsible Gaming plans to hold a conference in Las Vegas next week to review the latest research dealing with problem gambling. The conference, which will deal with "The Comorbidity of Pathological Gambling," will run from Dec. 3-5 at the MGM Grand Conference Center. The registration fee is $125. Topics will include problem gambling assessments, statistical issues, social policy issues, prevention and legal issues. Presenters will include Howard Shaffer of Harvard Medical School and Bill Eadington, director of the Institute for the Study of Gambling and Commercial Gaming, University of Nevada, Reno. |
