Probe into gaming agents' conduct blocked30 September 2008PENNSYLVANIA -- As reported by The Tribune-Review: "A Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board hearing officer has blocked a casino owner's request to question two Bureau of Investigations and Enforcement agents and a former agent. "Attorneys for MTR Gaming Group Inc., which owns Presque Isle Downs in Erie, asked the board to subpoena the agents from the western office of the Bureau of Investigations and Enforcement. "They claimed the men conducted a rogue investigation, made false and defamatory statements to a casino vendor, destroyed evidence of their own misconduct and released confidential information..." |
