Prince tribute band Purple Reign back by popular demand at Fantasy Springs22 May 2013INDIO, California - (PRESS RELEASE) -- You may have seen Prince accept the Icon Award on Sunday’s Billboard Music Awards but this Saturday night at Rock Yard, you can watch the recreation of “The Artist” by Purple Reign, the must see tribute band of the season. Purple Reign, will take the stage at Fantasy Springs Resort Casino's outdoor concert venue on Saturday, May 25th. The group has risen to international acclaim and recognition as the world’s #1 Prince Tribute. The band captures the imagination and seamlessly re-creates the performances and raw energy of Prince in his prime and returns you to the era that made him an international superstar. The “Prince” of the group, Jason Tenner, says his story starts in 1996 when he went to a Halloween party dressed as Prince and as he puts it, “People were following me around, saying “Oh My God! It’s Prince!” and asking for autographs.” He figured he was on to something and being in Vegas he thought, “You know, this is the town to get it started.” Purple Reign can be seen most weekend’s performing at Hooters Casino in Las Vegas. Fantasy Springs’ free Rock Yard shows run every Saturday through October. Music starts at 7:30 pm. |
