Presque Isle Downs has big first weekend6 March 2007PENNSYLVANIA – As reported by the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette: "The crowds and revenues at Presque Isle Downs & Casino over the weekend were even bigger than on opening day. "The slots parlor in Erie County, the first in Western Pennsylvania, peaked Saturday with wagers of $13.6 million by players, who won back almost $12.4 million of that. That left more than $1,241,000 for Presque Isle Downs and the state and local governments to share as revenue. Friday and Sunday also exceeded Wednesday's opening day of $8.9 million in wagers and $809,394 in revenue…" |
