Prescott Won't be Investigated

LONDON, England – As reported by the Peninsula: " Britain's Deputy Prime Minister John Prescott will not face an investigation over a stay last year at the ranch of a US gambling tycoon, police said yesterday.

"A parliamentary committee has already found that Prescott broke rules for ministers by not immediately declaring his stay with billionaire Philip Anschutz, whose company AEG wants to open a casino in London's millennium dome.

"But London's Metropolitan police has now said that there was 'not sufficient basis' for a criminal investigation under Britain's corruption laws following a complaint from an opposition lawmaker and a businessman…"
