Prairie's Edge Casino Resort to reopen on 18 May15 May 2020Prairie's Edge Casino Resort announced that it is going to start reopening on Monday. Below is the official statement posted on the Minnesota casino's website. "We are pleased to announce that we will be reopening on Monday, May 18, 2020 at Noon. The decision to reopen has been made with much consideration for the health and safety of our valued guests and team members. Please know that we exceed all safety guidelines to reopen, we are looking forward to seeing you. We will continue to follow the recommended social distancing guidelines and are asking guests to do the same. In common gathering areas such as kiosks, Guest Services, food outlets, bars, etc. six-foot markers have been placed on the floor throughout the property. This has been done to ensure social distancing between guests. All team members who work in direct guest-service areas will be wearing masks to protect themselves, our guests and their fellow team members. Guests are strongly encouraged to bring their own masks and wear them as much as possible while visiting our property. However, masks will be available for guests who need one. If you are considered high-risk or showing any signs or symptoms of illness, we ask you to please stay home. All guests entering the property will be required to have their temperature taken with a non-invasive thermometer check and to utilize the provided hand sanitizer. Any guest with a temperature over 100.1 will not be allowed to enter. The property will have designated entrance and exit doors. Gaming Guests, please use the main South entrance that will have one entrance door and one exit door. The non-smoking entrance will be closed. Gaming and Hotel guests, please use the main Hotel entrance on the West side of the building for entry. The entrance near the Gift Shop known as Lobby B will be an exit only door. While not all slot machines will be available, many guest favorites will be waiting for you. To adhere to social distancing guidelines, we have had to reduce to about 50 percent of capacity. Guests will notice plexiglass dividers between slot machines as well as limited chairs. Once again, these changes have been made for the health and safety of all. All slot machines will be cleaned throughout the day. We ask that when a guest is finished playing that game, they press the call/service button, which will turn on a service light. By turning on this light, our Cleaning Specialists will know that the machine and chair needs to be cleaned and sanitized. At this time, Table Games including Blackjack & Poker will remain closed. However, guests can enjoy both Video Blackjack and Video Roulette. When finished playing one of these specialty games, we ask that guests press the call/service button, which will turn on a service light. By turning on this light, our Cleaning Specialists will know that the machine and chair needs to be sanitized. Food and Beverage outlets will have new seating configurations. These new configurations meet the six-foot social distancing guidelines. No groups of more than six guests will be seated together. Larger groups will be asked to spilt up. A new menu will be issued to each guest for one-time use to follow sanitization guidelines. Some products are limited due to availability, therefore, limited menu options will be offered. Beverage service will continue on the casino floor. The self-service beverage stations will be staffed with an attendant who will assist guests with complimentary beverages, such as pop, coffee and water. Our hotel is now open, however, the pool, sauna and exercise room will remain closed. Guests staying in the hotel can rest assured knowing our housekeepers are performing stringent sanitization and cleaning practices. Guests checking into the hotel will be asked to follow social distancing guidelines, again six-foot markers have been placed on the floor in the lobby. Strict elevator etiquette will be in place, limiting riders to two people or one family per lift. Guests hotel rooms will be staggered appropriately throughout each floor of the hotel. Rooms will be left vacant for 24 hours between guests check-ins to ensure sanitization procedures. PraireView RV Park is now open to guests, however, the bath house, shelter house, playground and recreational courts are closed. Convenience Store remains open from 6:00 am to 2:00 am with added cleaning and sanitization procedures. Guests will be asked to utilize the designated entrance and exit doors. Again, to follow safety guidelines guests will scan and bag their own items with the exception of tobacco products." |
