PPA launches own iPhone app

7 June 2010

(PRESS RELEASE) -- Poker players nationwide now have an innovative new tool for asking their members of Congress to support poker. The Poker Players Alliance, the leading poker grassroots advocacy group with more than one million members nationwide, unveiled its new iPhone app with an innovative click to call Congress feature.

"Our members are extremely tech savvy and always looking for more ways to show their support for protecting their right to play poker. The PPA iPhone app, like our Tweet for Poker website, provides a cutting edge tool for our members to quickly and easily show their support for online poker," said John Pappas, executive director of the PPA.

The PPA's app offers users a click to call Congress feature, where those who download the app simply click a button on the app and are automatically connected via phone to their member of Congress' office in Washington, D.C. Additionally, the app aggregates the latest PPA tweets, tournament feeds from Bluff Magazine, and the most recent news and updates from PPA. PPA members can also find other members in their hometown and enter contests and promotions with an innovative 'scan barcode' function.

To download the app, visit www.theppa.org/iphone or search 'Poker Players Alliance' at the iTunes app store.
