Power Joker Poker

17 July 2008

Power Joker Poker is dubbed by host Lady Dream as a "new generation" of video poker machines and after just a couple of rounds of its frenetic play it's easy to see why.

The game is played with a 52-card deck, plus two Jokers that can replace any card. The main attraction is the player's ability to double each win by immediately playing a bonus game. Players can either bypass the bonus round or risk half or all of their winnings from that particular hand. The bonus round consists of a Joker appearing on the screen with two cards, one of them face-up. The player must guess if the face-down card is higher or lower than the other card. A correct guess results in a win and a chance to play the same bonus game all over again, once again with the option to collect or risk all or half of the winnings.

Also, stars are accumulated in the player's bonus game collector each time one of the three hands results in "Three of a Kind" or better after the draw. When a player collects 10 stars, he or she is offered to play another format of a bonus round. In this game, three Jokers appear holding small boards on the screen. Each board signifies a random amount of wins and the player gets to choose one of the Jokers.
