Pop star Demi Lovato to perform at Foxwoods25 October 2011MASHANTUCKET, Connecticut -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- Following sold-out concerts in New York and Los Angeles, Demi Lovato announced a limited tour in select cities to celebrate the success of her new album Unbroken, out now on Hollywood Records. The 10-date tour, presented by AEG Live, will kick off in Detroit, MI on November 16th. She will perform at Foxwoods Resort Casino & MGM Grand at Foxwoods on November 18. Tickets are available now at Foxwoods.com or AEGLive.com. Unbroken, which features guest artists including Missy Elliot, Timbaland, Dev and Jason Derulo, has received rave reviews from critics. USA Today gave the album three stars, explaining that it, “transforms from guest-filled, R&B-oriented dance-pop… into a series of intimate, sometimes painful confessions, the marks of an artist who's actually growing up. Instead of sounding disjointed, the changes parallel the 19-year-old's recent journey… By the time she hits the ballad ‘Skyscraper,’ a towering performance that sounds both desperate and determined, she has clearly transitioned from a teen star into a young woman worth listening to.” Lovato’s emotional debut single “Skyscraper” debuted at #1 on the iTunes chart, #2 on the Billboard Hot Digital Singles chart and at #10 on the Billboard Hot 100, marking her highest single debut on those charts. The single has garnered glowing attention from the press, including Billboard Magazine who called the track, “A somber yet gorgeous ballad,” and that Lovato, “Drives the song home with previously unseen singing power. ‘Skyscraper’ is not just a welcome return for Lovato - It’s a new beginning” Unbroken is the long-awaited follow-up to the # 1 debut of 2009’s “Here We Go Again” and the #2 debut of 2008’s “Don’t Forget.” Lovato has performed to crowds across the world, won an ALMA, People’s Choice and Teen Choice awards and appeared on Good Morning America, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, American Idol, Americas Got Talent and Dancing with the Stars. |
