Poll indicates opposition to casino boat

LOUISIANA – As reported by the Advocate: "A public opinion poll commissioned by a competitor of Pinnacle Entertainment's proposed riverboat casino-hotel resort in south Baton Rouge indicates major local opposition to the project.

"A summary of the poll, commissioned by Belle of Baton Rouge parent company Columbia Sussex, shows 66 percent of respondents said they oppose the idea, while 32 percent said they approved.

"…Pinnacle is seeking regulatory approval for a $250 million gambling facility on the Mississippi River near Bluebonnet Boulevard…"
