Police Seek Clues in Slot Worker Robberies15 August 2006RENO, Nevada -- As reported by the Reno Gazette Journal: "Reno police are investigating three armed carjackings of slot machine repair and jackpot payoff men during the past two weeks. Secret Witness is offering a $1,500 reward for information. "The latest robbery happened Saturday night. In each case, thousands of dollars in coins were stolen from the men's white work vans, which were found abandoned soon after the robberies. "Each time, the men were returning to their vans after repairing a slot machine or delivering jackpot payoffs when a man pointed a gun at them and demanded their van keys, police said.
