Police nab dealer for stealing HK$300,000 chips18 August 2008MACAU -- As reported by Macau Daily Times: "A casino dealer who allegedly stole HK$300,000 worth of chips for gambling and repaying debts was arrested by the Judiciary Police (PJ) yesterday. "Another man was also arrested for allegedly helping the dealer cash the chips in the casino in Taipa. "A police spokesman Choi Iat Peng said the casino had reported the incident about a week ago, saying one of its dealers was suspected of stealing chips at work. "Police then carried out surveillance "...It was believed that the dealer had at least stole chips three times with a total of HK$100,000 each, the spokesman added..." |
