PokerStars online gambling license application suspended in New Jersey14 December 2013ATLANTIC CITY, New Jersey -- PokerStars have had their license application suspended by state gaming regulators in New Jersey, the Star-Ledger reported. Regulators cited questions about Pokerstars founder who is currently considered a fugitive by the US government and aspects of the company's business history in the US, as reasons for the suspension, the report said. The licence application suspension, two years in duration, was an unexpected shock to PokerStars who had formed a partnership with Resorts Casino to offer online gambling, the Star-Ledger report said. |
