PokerStars MicroMillions 4 daily round-up – March 15

15 March 2013

(PRESS RELEASE) -- MicroMillions 4 got under way yesterday with six events and nearly $350,000 in guaranteed prizes up for grabs. In the end the actual prize pools easily exceeded that total, with more than $680,000 awarded to thousands of players.

The biggest winner of the first day was "Swarm255" from Germany, who topped a mammoth field of 49,977 players in event 2 to scoop the first prize of more than $18,500. Not to be outdone, though, the third-place finisher – "Vlader666" – satellited into the tourney for just $0.15 and cashed for $8,732.82 – an ROI of nearly 1 million percent!

The event 3 winner, "Leadankoning," didn’t even pay to enter, buying in with 70 Frequent Player Points (70 FPP) and going on to win close to $11,000!

The other exciting news from yesterday was the official debut of Zoom Poker tournaments, which was the format for event 4. Nearly 30,000 players experienced the fast-paced excitement of that inaugural Zoom tourney, but it was "yana-11k" who went the whole way and took victory for $10,000. Last year’s WCOOP Leaderboard winner, "mikal12345," came third for $8,507.60.
