PokerStars makes another Spin & Go millionaire

23 October 2015

(PRESS RELEASE) -- A seventh Spin & Go millionaire has been made overnight, with Brazilian player ‘wrawras’ winning $1,000,000 after just ten minutes of poker play on PokerStars.com, an Amaya Inc. brand.

The $100 buy-in Spin & Go tournament (Tournament #1,355,735,108) started at 7.58 PM (PokerStars Server Time & Brazilian Local Time) on 22 October (11.58 p.m. GMT, 01.58 a.m. CET on 23 October), and concluded at 8.08 PM, making a very happy night for the new millionaire.

The runner up was ‘A13X_J0neS’ from Canada, who won $100,000. The third-place player was ‘Sir.Whiteman’ from Hungary, who also won $100,000. The tournament was over in 51 hands of poker, less than half the number of hands required the previous night to make ‘Samara Lúcio’ a millionaire in a $5 Spin & Go tournament.

Judging by his PokerStars player image, ‘wrawras’ is likely a big fan of the Brazilian football club, ‘Clube de Regatas do Flamengo’.

This October marks the first anniversary of Spin & Go tournaments on PokerStars.com, with PokerStars celebrating with a month-long promotion. This celebration included making a new Spin & Go millionaire yesterday as well, proving that a Million-dollar prize doesn't prevent another Million-dollar prize the next day.

Spin & Gos are fast-paced, 3-Max Hyper Turbo tournaments which featuring 500 chip starting stacks. Each tournament has a randomly drawn prize pool that will award between two and 3,000 times your buy-in. PokerStars offer Spin & Gos at seven different buy-in levels $1, $3, $7, $15, $30, $60 and $100. Regardless of the buy-in players will start the tournament with 500 chips and play three minute levels.
