PokerStars LAPT announces Argentina Grand Final16 July 2010PRESS RELEASE) -- The PokerStars.net Latin American Poker Tour (LAPT) announced today that its highly successful Season 3 will conclude September 22-26, 2010 with a $5,000 buy-in Grand Final at the opulent City Center Casino in Rosario, Argentina. "This will be the most luxurious and exciting Grand Final in LAPT history," said LAPT President David Carrion. "LAPT is thrilled to be partnered with City Center, one of most amazing casino venues in all of Latin America." City Center, the largest casino in South America, will offer LAPT players all of the comforts of a modern, five-star hotel. City Center is located in the charming metropolis of Rosario, the third-largest city in Argentina, less than 200 miles northwest of Buenos Aires. Rosario is easily accessible by air from all points within Argentina and internationally from Brazil and Uruguay. Qualifier satellites and freeroll tournaments that award travel packages to Rosario and entry into the Grand Final are already running on PokerStars.net. LAPT today also released the final schedule for the upcoming LAPT Brazil poker festival, to be held from August 4 – August 8, 2010 at the beautiful Costao de Santinho Resort in Florianopolis, Brazil. In addition to the $2,700 Main Event, the LAPT Brazil festival will feature multiple side events, notably a $120 rebuy event with a $45,000 guaranteed prize pool and the first Pot-Limit Omaha event in LAPT history. "We believe that the Brazil festival will draw one of the biggest fields in LAPT history," said Carrion. "We have therefore created a schedule that will cater to the needs and preferences of all players and bankroll levels." Team PokerStars Pros that have already confirmed their attendance at LAPT Brazil include Victor Ramdin and Joe Cada, the reigning world champion. Play kicks off on August 4 with two $300 super satellites into the Main Event. Side events will run concurrently with the Main Event from August 5 through August 8.
