PokerStars announces two new executive appointments

22 March 2011

(PRESS RELEASE) -- PokerStars, the world's largest online poker site, has announced two new executive appointments.

Guy Templer, the former Chief Operating Officer of Netplay TV, joins PokerStars as the new Corporate Business Development Director. He will manage all Business Development and introduction into new regulated markets for the PokerStars Group. Lee Jones - who was Poker Room Manager at PokerStars from 2003-07 - re-joins the company as the new Head of Home Games. Both Lee and Guy have many years’ experience in senior roles in the gaming industry.

Templer was the Chief Operating Officer and a Board Director of Netplay TV plc, a publicly traded company and one of the largest TV gaming operations in Europe.

He was previously one of the principals of Two Way TV, an interactive TV production company, and then Two Way Gaming, an Alderney-licensed casino that operated live and online gaming products for Virgin Media and numerous UK broadcasters.

Jones is one of the most popular and recognisable figures in online poker. In four years as Poker Room Manager for PokerStars, he became well known and respected among the site's many thousands of players. He then transferred to the live poker arena and worked for the European Poker Tour, one of the world's most prestigious series of live poker events.

After a few years in leadership positions at various other poker companies, Lee re-joins PokerStars to take charge of the new Home Games venture.
