PokerStars announces dates for European Poker Tour Prague

6 December 2021

(PRESS RELEASE) -- PokerStars is pleased to announce that the European Poker Tour (EPT) Prague will now run from 5-16 March 2022 at the Hilton Hotel Prague.

With player and staff comfort and health a top priority, PokerStars had previously made the decision to postpone EPT Prague 2021 due to the ongoing situation in the Czech Republic and in accordance with local government guidance. After much consideration, the decision has now been made to move the much-loved EPT stop to March, where PokerStars hopes to run a safe and enjoyable event for the PokerStars community.

The PokerStars European Poker Tour Online will run from 8-19 December and is open to all players across .COM.

Managing Director and Commercial Officer of Poker at PokerStars, Severin Rasset said, “I am pleased that we have been able to adapt so quickly to the ever-changing situation and provide our players with new dates for EPT Prague already, as well as some EPT online fun and value in the meantime. A big thanks to our partners at Kings Casino and Hilton Prague for working with us to ensure we found an alternative solution for the event.”

“We know that there is a huge demand from the PokerStars community to see our live events return in full and we are excitedly working towards that, but we must be flexible along the way to ensure our players stay safe and healthy, and the experience is an unforgettable one for all the right reasons. We understand the impact not running these events has on our players and staff, and we hope that the upcoming EPT Online series will provide players with an enjoyable alternative this December. We have also committed to allocating $100,000 from EPT Online to all the Live Event Staff who have been impacted by the postponement.”

Following the postponement, PokerStars have been working hard to provide players with a slice of EPT on the virtual felt. With buy-ins from just $5.50 and more than $17 million guaranteed, players from across the globe will have the chance to be part of EPT history.

EPT Online will feature 68 tournaments including some of the traditional live event programme, Mini EPTs and more. To top it off, there will be 20 EPT trophies up for grabs.

EPT Online schedule highlights:
  • $11 EPT Online Cup Mini with $150,000 guaranteed.
  • $55 buy-in Mini Main Event with $1,000,000 guaranteed.
  • $5,200 buy-in EPT Main Event with $1,500,000 guaranteed.
  • $1,050 buy-in The Return of Arena Championship with $1,000,000 guaranteed.
  • $10,300 buy-in Sunday Super High Roller with $1,000,000 guaranteed.
