Poker Patience

15 October 2009

You love Facebook. You love poker. You love strategy. But there hasn't been a game combining these three. Until now. "Poker Patience" on Facebook is a fun and addicting game that will test your chops without costing you any bucks.

"Poker Patience" is a no-download game using the MindJolt Games application. The game board shows 25 rectangles in a 5x5 pattern. There is a 52-card deck at the top of the game, cut in two. The top card of each cut is face-up.

The object of "Poker Patience" is to get the highest score possible by making poker hands vertically, horizontally and diagonally. You do this by placing a face-up card on any empty space in the 5x5 grid. Once a card is dropped, it can't be moved. After you place a card, the top card of the stack from which you removed the previous card will flip heads-up.

The boxes on the edge and bottom of the board show what poker hands you currently have as well as your score.

The point system is as follows:

• One Pair: 2 points
• Two Pair: 5 points
• Three of a Kind: 10 points
• Straight: 15 points
• Flush: 20 points
• Full House: 25 points
• Four of a Kind: 50 points
• Straight Flush: 75 points
• Royal Flush: 100 points.

"Poker Patience" is a very addicting game that can get quite frustrating if your strategy begins to crumble. Log onto your Facebook account and test it out.
