Pocono Manor investors appeal license decision

PENNSYLVANIA – As reported by the Pennsylvania Times Leader: "Pocono Manor Investors plans to appeal a decision by the state Gaming Control Board that deprived it of a slot machine casino license.

"'A further review of the record is ongoing in order to identify all appropriate issues that can be raised,' said attorneys Guy Michael and Robert Carroll, representing Pocono Manor Investors.

"…[The] Mount Airy Lodge project backed by Dunmore businessman Louis DeNaples was awarded a license, along with Las Vegas Sands for its Sands Bethworks project in Bethlehem.

"Neither Mount Airy nor the gaming board anticipates Pocono Manor will succeed in overturning the licenses…"
