Plaza Hotel & Casino plans veterans award ceremony

2 November 2017

(PRESS RELEASE) -- Grateful for the service of our nation's dedicated veterans, the Plaza Hotel & Casino is partnering with Veterans in Politics International for a special awards ceremony to honor several local veterans and Las Vegas military personnel on Saturday, 11 November at 2 p.m. The downtown property will also offer numerous specials to say thank you to veterans and active military personnel all day long.

Celebrating our brave service members, the awards ceremony will recognize four United States Marine Corps veterans and three current members of the Nevada Army National Guard. Plaza resident headliner, Frankie Scinta will sing the national anthem, and the awards will be presented by Clark County Commission Steve Sisolak under the iconic Plaza dome immediately following the Las Vegas Veterans Day parade.

Also on 11 November, the Plaza will offer several Veterans Day discounts and specials to retired and active service members, including:
  • A complimentary pair of tickets to see the Scintas perform on Saturday, 11 November at 7:30 p.m. A Las Vegas favorite for decades, the Scintas entertain guests with their signature comedy, musical prowess and knack for spot-on impressions during their critically acclaimed show in the classic Plaza showroom. The complimentary tickets will be available at the box office.
  • Free entry to a special slot tournament with a grand prize package of an authentic bomber jacket, a complimentary two night stay at the Plaza and $200 to Oscar's steakhouse.
  • A free small rainbow that plays all 11 games and the chance to win up to $750 at any session at the Plaza's bingo room, the only bingo hall in downtown Las Vegas offering the highest payouts in the city.
  • Various food and beverage specials, including $1 domestic beers and Bloody Mary's at casino floor bars and a free pastry or dessert and coffee or fountain drink at Brightside – Breakfast & Burgers.
  • All offers require guests to show valid veterans or active military identification for participation, and gaming offers must be redeemed at the Royal Rewards players' club reward center.
