Plaza Hotel & Casino celebrates National Pickleball Month15 April 2024(PRESS RELEASE) -- With the most dedicated pickleball courts of any Las Vegas resort, the Plaza Hotel and Casino is celebrating National Pickleball Month this April with a special charity event on Thursday, 18 April 18 its longstanding free lessons and round robin tournaments. The Plaza offers free pickleball lessons every Saturday morning. The spring schedule offers a beginner’s clinic at 9 a.m. and a skills and drills clinic at 10:30 a.m. The Plaza also hosts round robin tournaments with certified instructors every Friday evening at 6:30 p.m. and Saturday morning at 8 a.m. for $10 per player.
On Thursday, April 18, the Plaza will host a special Industry Draw charity event at 6 p.m. benefiting the Inspiring Children Foundation, which provides physical, social, emotional, and mental health to at-risk youth. For 22 years, Inspiring Children Foundation (ICF) has been transforming the lives of at-risk youth in Las Vegas through a whole human approach to physical, emotional, and mental health. ICF serves hundreds of youth in-person and millions online. 95% of students in their Leadership Program have earned college scholarships for academics & athletics (tennis) to some of the best colleges in the United States. Parts of the program are now being duplicated in 22 cities by other nonprofits. With 13 dedicated rooftop pickleball courts overlooking the Las Vegas valley, the Plaza offers a unique pickleball experience that attracts amateur and professional players from across the country. Given the popularity of pickleball – America’s fastest growing recreational sport – and the growing demand for court reservations at the Plaza, a new booking system is being installed to make it even easier for players to reserve a pickleball court online. |
