Playtech 2009 profit rises on William Hill venture17 March 2010LONDON, England -- Internet gambling software developer Playtech announced a 71 percent increase in full year profit, Bloomberg reported. Playtech's January 2009 venture with William Hill has proved a boost to sales, Bloomberg said. Playtech now has a 29 percent stake in William Hill's gambling Web sites because of the deal, the report said. Playtech continues to seek acquisitions to increase its software customers, Bloomberg noted.
