Player takes jackpot dispute to the top23 June 2010ALBUQUERQUE, New Mexico -- An unhappy slots player is taking his dispute to the US Supreme Court, KOAT reported. Gary Hoffman gambled nickels in a Mystic Mermaid Slot machine which indicated he had won $1.6 million, KOAT said. The Sandia Casino confirmed however that the machine had malfunctioned and offered him $385 and two dinner vouchers compensation, KOAT reported. Hoffman is not giving up his battle despite having lost in the State District Court, the State Court of Appeals and the State Supreme Court which refused to hear the case, KOAT said. |
