Plan for Atlantic City faces some opposition16 August 2010ATLANTIC CITY, New Jersey -- Gov. Christie's overhaul plans for Atlantic City face opposition in Meadowlands, The Philadelphia Inquirer reported. North Jersey lawmakers want a new casino built in Meadowlands, a plan which is opposed by Atlantic City casinos, the report explained. Under Christie's plan casino subsidies to the horse racing industry would end, while critics of his plan feel it will fail if other areas of the state beyond Atlantic City see no economic benefit, The Philadelphia Inquirer reported.
