PKR offering new breed of poker festival

31 August 2010

LONDON, England -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- PKR.com and The Fox Poker Club have teamed up to present a new breed of poker festival that promises to bring 'poker to the people' by offering high quality, dealer dealt tournaments at affordable buy-ins.

Running for a full 28 days between 11th October and 7th November 2010, the PKR.com 'London Calling' festival will consist of 57 tournaments with the majority of buy-ins ranging from £20 to £100. While No Limit Hold'em will be well represented, there will also PLO, PLO8, Heads Up events and a two day HORSE event.

The festival will conclude with a £300 buy-in main event. There will also be leaderboard running throughout the festival that will see players earn points based on finishing position. These points will then be converted to starting stacks in a special freeroll to be held at PKR.com.

PKR Marketing Director Simon Prodger said, "It's been our ambition to put on an event like this for some time, and we're delighted that London now has the perfect venue in which to do so. With regular buy-ins ranging from £20 'London Calling' is for the huge number of people who'd love to play a high-quality, dealer dealt tournament but find most poker tours and festivals are too high for their bankroll."

Further details of the London Calling can be found at www.pkr.com/londoncalling.

The Fox Poker Club in association with PKR.com is situated at 93-107 Shaftesbury Avenue, London W1D 5DY
